NEW JERSEY CAMPUSES

The following events will take place at Berkeley College, 536 Broad Street, Newark:

March 7, 14, 21 and 28

Berkeley College will host Immediate Decision Days from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for high school seniors and adult students. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty, and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Bring your high school transcript, college transcript or GED and get an immediate decision on admission. Transfer students will learn about transfer opportunities. March 7

Interior Design Workshop: Experience hands-on design projects and field trips to design showrooms. Interior design professionals will discuss fundamentals and a range of career opportunities. Business Workshop: Hear what goes on behind the scenes and learn about the training and skills needed to get started and remain successful. The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 44 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park:

March 14

Berkeley College will host a dinner meeting of the Paralegal Association of New Jersey, Inc., open to members and non-members. Patricia Greer, Chair, Legal Studies, Berkeley College School of Professional Studies, will discuss “Minimizing Risk by Drafting a Concise Contract.” The cost is $15 (members), $18 (non-members) and $15 (current Berkeley College students). This is a chance to network with professionals in the legal field who are committed to the promotion and recognition of paralegals. Berkeley College will host March Matters: Health and Safety in the Workplace. This interactive two-part discussion will examine workplace health and safety best practices. Members of the private and public sectors will share a broad range of experiences, and time will be allotted for open discussions on practical tools and solutions. Keynote speaker is Brian McDonough, Corporate Manager of Security and Emergency Preparedness, CarePoint Health Hospitals. The event, which begins at 12:30 p.m., is free, but seating is limited. Berkeley College will present “Data for Good Tableau Viz Showcase,” a discussion leveraging data for social impact, as part of New York City’s Open Data Week. The week-long observance celebrates New York City’s Open Data Law and raises awareness of the City’s free data resource. The Berkeley College event will be held at 12:30 p.m. Faraz Ahmed, Data Scientist, NYC Mayor's Office of Data Analytics, will give opening remarks. Fashion Careers: Get up close with the fashion world. Libra Balian, Creative and Marketing Operations, Tiffany & Company, will offer her expertise on retail and fashion.
