The Berkeley College Knights defeated the Blue Angels of the College of New Rochelle by a score of 113-102 on February 5, 2019, during a game at Borough of Manhattan Community College. With the victory, Berkeley College won its ninth consecutive game to improve to 16-4 on the year. The team remains unblemished in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) action, improving to 4-0 in league play. The Blue Angels dipped to 13-9 on the 2018-2019 campaign, including 4-1 in HVIAC contests.

The Knights, who with the win recorded their 34th consecutive home contest, connected on 19 three-point baskets. Nigel Hemingway of Brooklyn, NY, a graduate of the High School for Enterprise, Business and Technology – Grand Street Campus, connected on seven attempts from the floor. He also added a pair of assists.

Deylon Bovell, a graduate of Transit Tech CTE High School, finished the game with 21 points, five rebounds, and a pair of blocked shots. Shamiek Sheppard, a graduate of South Street High School, contributed 16 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Ricardo Ayuso, a graduate of Redemption Christian Academy, Anthony Hemingway, a graduate of NIA Prep, and Dequan Jones, a graduate of Pacific High School, each added 10 points. The players are all residents of Brooklyn, NY.

Despite the loss for the College of New Rochelle, the Blue Angels’ charge was led by Hunter Schenkel, who connected on 13 of his 23 attempts from the floor. Elijah Harris contributed 20 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, and Glen O’Loughlin and Anthony Turnbow each scored 11 points.

The Knights will look to extend their winning streak to 10 games on February 7, 2019, as they face Albany College of Pharmacy in HVIAC action at the Borough of Manhattan Community College at 8 p.m.
