KEEPING WELL IN THE COMMUNITY: BERKELEY COLLEGE HOLDS COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND WELLNESS FAIR |
Photo Caption: Berkeley College students, faculty and staff came to learn about resources such as childcare, medical and dental insurance, housing assistance, domestic violence programs and more at the Passaic County Community Resources and Wellness Fair held at the Woodland Park campus in New Jersey on April 2, 2019. More than 200 students and associates attended the event, with 100 formally applying for services. On hand to talk about services were representatives of the Passaic County Board of Social Services, Strengthen Our Sisters, BlueCrest Recovery Center and 4CS of Passaic County. John Currie, Chairman, New Jersey Democratic State Committee (pictured in photo, lower right, center), and Danielle Ireland-Imhof, Passaic County Clerk (pictured in photo at left, second from right), discussed challenges people face accessing community resources. Lending support also were members of the Berkeley College Woodland Park Parents Club and Disability Support Services. “The feedback I am receiving is phenomenal,” said Sandra Coppola, PhD, Senior Director, Personal Counseling, Berkeley College. “It’s important to promote wellness, and this was a wonderful opportunity to bring attention to these services for our students, faculty and staff.”
