BERKELEY COLLEGE TO DONATE BULLETPROOF CANINE BACKPACKS TO OFFICERS IN WHITE PLAINS OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY

Press photographers and journalists are welcome to join representatives from Westchester County, the City of White Plains Office of Public Safety, and Berkeley College for the presentation of two donated bulletproof canine vests to the White Plains police officer-canine teams on October 1, 2019, at 11 a.m., at the entrance to Berkeley College, 99 Church Street. The primary mission of the K-9 Team is to provide assistance and support to other emergency personnel during incidents that may be beyond the scope of normal police training and capability, such as searches for suspects or missing persons, handler protection, detection of explosives as well as certain other controlled substances.   

You will have the opportunity to take photos, videography and conduct interviews.
