ALL-AMERICAN TEAM 

Knights’ Amadou Sy Named Division II Player of the Year

The New York and New Jersey USCAA honorees

The United States Collegiate Athletic Conference (USCAA) recognized Berkeley College Men’s Soccer players from the New Jersey and New York teams on November 7, 2019, during its National Tournament Banquet at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, VA. 

Thirteen student-athletes received All-American or Scholar-Athlete honors, and Amadou Sy of Brooklyn, NY, and Dakar, Senegal, was recognized as USCAA Division II Player of the Year. 

“Countless hours have been put in by these student-athletes, as they continue to mature into fine young men, both on the field and academically,” said Bruno Ferreira, Head Coach, Men’s Soccer team, New Jersey. “I’m full of pride when I reflect on the season that they have put together so far.” 

“I am extremely proud of all of our student-athletes who earned honors on a National level,” added Stavros Zomopoulos, Head Coach, Men’s Soccer team, New York. “These young men work so diligently both on the pitch and in the classroom, and it is extremely gratifying to see their hard work pay off.”

The No. 1-seeded New York Men’s Soccer team will face Johnson & Wales University – Charlotte in the United States Collegiate Athletic Conference Division II National title game this afternoon (Monday, November 11) at 4 p.m. 

After a valiant season, the No. 3-seeded Men’s Soccer team, New Jersey, fell to the Nittany Lions on Sunday, November 10, by a score of 3-2.
