New Jersey Assemblyman Robert J. Karabinchak encouraged Berkeley College student leaders to value their education when he visited the College’s Woodbridge campus on March 6, 2020.

“Everything you learn here is a stepping stone in your lives and in your careers,” Assemblyman Karabinchak told the students, many of whom will graduate in May. “Education is the absolute rock. You always have it to come back to.”

The Assemblyman learned about Berkeley College’s career-focused curriculum, new programs in Business Data Science and National Security, and deep commitment to student support and success.

Student leaders shared their personal stories and career goals as adult students, student-veterans and Honors scholars. Many are involved with campus clubs, the Student Government Association, and volunteerism efforts.

“Berkeley College gave me an opportunity. They helped me believe that I could achieve my goals. That is what Berkeley is all about,” said Christoria Williams of Plainfield, NJ, an adult student pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.

The students led Assemblyman Karabinchak on a tour of the Woodbridge campus, and the group posed for a photo in front of the student-created “Be Inspired” mural.
