Berkeley College will host a Transfer Student Virtual Open House to introduce prospective students who previously attended another institution to Berkeley’s career-focused programs available online and on-site, in New York and New Jersey. The College is currently accepting applications for the fall semester that begins on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

The open house will feature a panel about the process and benefits of transferring to Berkeley College with speakers (above, from left) Jason Gulya, PhD, Professor, English, Berkeley College Division of General Studies; Michele Figueroa, Director, Reporting and Technology, Berkeley College Career Services; Lenny Moise, Director, Human Resources, Sinergia Inc.; Berkeley College transfer student Rebekah Andrews-Brannock; and alumnus Jerry Ubah, Visual Designer, Complex Networks (not pictured), who transferred to Berkeley College before earning his degree in 2019.

Berkeley offers a number of direct grants and scholarships to qualified students, including the Transfer Opportunity Grant, a 40% tuition grant offered to eligible students who earned an Associate’s degree before transferring to Berkeley College.

In addition to an overview of academic programs and financial aid opportunities, the forum will familiarize attendees with the Berkeley College Office of Career Services. The Career Services team also works closely with current students to help them find internships and jobs in their chosen fields. With more than 65,000 alumni, Berkeley College celebrates 90 years of preparing students for lifelong careers.
