Dear Berkeley College Community,

We hope you are enjoying your summer. All of us at Berkeley College are looking forward to beginning the fall semester in a few weeks and welcoming more students, faculty, and staff to our campuses.

COVID-19 Vaccination

Berkeley College strongly encourages all students to get vaccinated as soon as possible, however, vaccination is currently not required to be on campus. Please review the Vaccination Policy for Students . COVID-19 vaccines are the most effective tool available to end the pandemic and have proven to significantly reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death from the disease. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone ages 12 and older get a COVID-19 vaccination. Learn the facts about COVID-19 vaccines on the CDC website.

Fall 2021 Operations Plan

In July, the CDC released new guidance as a result of increasing COVID-19 infection rates mainly due to the highly transmissible Delta variant. Taking this guidance into account, Berkeley’s COVID-19 Task Force has issued a Fall 2021 Operations Plan for all campuses. The plan maintains many of the same protocols from the past year, including the requirement that all individuals properly wear a face mask/covering while inside any Berkeley building, regardless of vaccination status. The COVID-19 Heath Questionnaire must also continue to be completed on each day you are at a Berkeley campus, regardless of vaccination status. You should also continue to socially distance on campus. Distancing in classrooms will be at least three feet. All students and faculty members are required to wear a face mask/covering while in a classroom, regardless of vaccination status.

A COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall for Students will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Panelists will address Berkeley’s COVID-19 protocols for the fall semester and answer your questions.

If you would like to submit a question in advance, please email COVID19@BerkeleyCollege.edu. A recording of the session will be available following the event.
