WITH EVENTS IN NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY

Berkeley College is proud to celebrate the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans with special events during Hispanic Heritage Month – September 15 through October 15, 2021. With a theme of Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope, the following events will be held: 

On Campus:

Date: September 20 to October 15, 2021
Name: Hispanic Heritage Book Display 
Description: The Library and Student Development and Campus Life (SDCL) created a book display to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through literature, highlighting Hispanic authors.
 

Date: October 7 to 13, 2021
Name: Hispanic Heritage Month Trivia
Description: SDCL will share historical and current information to test student, faculty and staff knowledge of Hispanic heritage.

Off Campus:

Date:  October 8, 2021
Name:  Hispanic for Progress of Essex County, Inc. – Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Time:  4 to 8 p.m.

Name: LatinX - Using this Term in the Hispanic Community

Description: SDCL is hosting a panel to define and explain the differences among the various terms used to identify members of the LatinX and Hispanic communities.
