The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) recently recognized seven Berkeley College Knights for their athletic and academic accomplishments. Guard Cierra Highland of Brooklyn, NY, was named HVIAC Player of the Year. 

Highland, a graduate of Bedford Academy High School, was previously named an HVIAC Player of the Week and three-time Rookie of the Week. She topped the conference in scoring, averaging 28 points, and added seven rebounds, four steals and two assists for the Knights in league play. 

Highland led the Knights in the hard-fought Championship game in the HVIAC Tournament on February 27, 2022, scoring 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds, six steals and two assists in a 58-56 loss to Five Towns College. 

The Berkeley College Men’s Basketball team secured its seventh consecutive HVIAC Tournament victory, defeating Word of Life Bible Institute, 89-79. The victory marked the team’s 13th HVIAC Championship win since 2006. 

The HVIAC presented the following awards to the Knights:
