Dear Students,

Welcome to the Spring 2022 semester at Berkeley College.

Whether you have chosen to take your courses on-site, online or through a hybrid schedule that alternates between online and on-site sessions, Spring is the perfect time to explore all our campuses have to offer. Throughout the semester, I hope you will take advantage of the resources available to students. I also encourage you to participate in any events that give you an opportunity to meet with our faculty and other students.

I am happy to see students adding in-person courses to their academic schedules as the pandemic becomes more manageable. We will continue to assess the optimal approaches for teaching and learning based on our students’ feedback and preferences.

Making the most of your learning experience at Berkeley College includes using the resources and services offered to help support you in your educational goals. Student support services and resources are available both on-site and online. The  Center for Academic Success offers programs to keep you on the road to graduation and professional success, such as tutoring and workshops on improving time management, note-taking and test preparation. Through the Library , gain access to online academic resources. Career Services is a gateway to online job preparation and virtual internships. Student Development and Campus Life (SDCL)  invites you to Be Engaged! through clubs and volunteerism. SDCL also offers personal counseling and other wellness resources.

Berkeley College has been a leader in online education for 24 years, and has been recognized for nine consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report among the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs.

Be sure to attend your classes, meet your professors, and get to know your classmates. Become acquainted with the Engage portal, which connects you to College information. Berkeley College faculty are here to guide you along your academic journey.

During the Week of June 5 to 10, students will  have the opportunity to participate in Community Service Week, the College’s largest volunteer initiative of the year. Check your email in early May for details on how to register.

Please be sure to follow COVID safety guidelines when on campus. Your well-being and success are central to our mission at Berkeley College. Never forget that we are here to help you achieve your full potential – on-site or online. I wish you a successful Spring semester!

Sincerely,

Marianne Vakalis, Ed.D.
