Berkeley College, the first higher education partner of New York City Football Club (NYCFC), celebrated the team’s 2021 championship season at its campus in Midtown Manhattan during a special event on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Berkeley College students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as students from Rennert International, the College’s affiliate international language school, had an opportunity to view the MLS Cup and meet NYCFC Goalkeeper Cody Mizell.

As a Berkeley College Corporate Learning Partner, the NYCFC receives a tuition discount of up to 30% on the College’s undergraduate and graduate programs for employees and their families. The NYCFC provides Berkeley College students with summer workshops and internship opportunities, enabling students to gain hands-on work experience in the front office of a professional soccer team. Rennert International provides NYCFC’s First Team Players with language translation and interpretation services.

“The values of the NYCFC are aligned with Berkeley College’s mission of empowering students to achieve lifelong success in dynamic careers,” said Diane Recinos, EdD, President of Berkeley College. “This partnership spreads awareness of the importance of higher education while showing our students that with hard work, they can achieve their dreams.”
