The New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (NYCHCC) awarded a scholarship to Emily Figueroa of the Bronx, NY, during the 17th Annual Hispanic Business Award Banquet and Scholarship Ceremony on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Figueroa is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Fashion Marketing and Management at Berkeley College in New York City. 

According to the NYCHCC, the annual Award Banquet and Scholarship Ceremony honors successful individuals and businesses that have proven their commitment to upholding the integrity of our communities. 

Figueroa will graduate in 2023, and hopes to become a merchandiser for a fashion company. 

“I have always loved fashion since I was a little girl, and to make a career out of it would be my dream,” she said. “I feel very honored to receive this award, which will help me continue to achieve my goals of completing my education and working in the fashion industry.”
