Downey is the Founder of Stand Up (for) Doctors!, a platform created to amplify the voices of doctors and healthcare professionals. Downey spoke about the mental health challenges faced by physicians and about the impact patients can make by thanking their doctors. “People need to know what doctors go through,” she said. “They need people to care about them too.” (Below) The event was well attended by students pursuing degrees in various healthcare-related fields through the Berkeley College School of Health Studies.
