FOR DEDICATION TO MILITARY AND VETERAN STUDENT SUCCESS

Berkeley College was recently recognized by two prominent military publications on their lists of the colleges and universities that best serve military and veteran students. Military Times ranked the College on its 2025 Best for Vets list, while U.S. Veterans Magazine named the College among its 2025 Best of the Best. More than 260 military-aligned students are enrolled at Berkeley College as of the fall 2025 semester.

The Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs provides support to its student-veterans through four on-site veterans resource centers (VRCs) in New Jersey and New York, as well as through an Online VRC. Berkeley College supports the GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon Program. Each year military-aligned students, faculty, staff, and their families participate in community and volunteer efforts including marching in the New York City Veterans Day Parade, organizing candy and toy drives, placing flags at the graves of veterans on Memorial Day, and participating in National Wreaths Across America Day to honor those who served.
Berkeley College is consistently ranked among the best colleges for military and veteran students by publications including U.S. News & World Report, Military Times, U.S. Veterans Magazine, and Military Advanced Education.
Military Times Best for Vets
According to Military Times, Best for Vets: Colleges is the largest and most comprehensive ranking of the best schools for military service members and veterans. Rankings are based on survey results from participating colleges and universities, along with public data from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and consider both academic outcomes and military-specific support.
Berkeley College is ranked No. 187 of 357 colleges nationwide and is third among colleges in New Jersey and fifth among colleges in New York.
U.S. Veterans Magazine Best of the Best
According to U.S. Veterans Magazine, Best of the Best is a guide for veterans, transitioning service members, and military families seeking to enter the workforce or the classroom. Honorees are selected through a national evaluation process that includes self-reported surveys and independent research focused on veteran hiring and retention, military benefits and support, and educational services for veterans.
Berkeley College is among 26 New York colleges and universities and 10 New Jersey institutions that are recognized.
