U.S. Veterans Magazine has named Berkeley College as a 2026 Top Veteran School, recognizing the colleges and universities that best serve military and veteran students. More than 250 military-aligned students are enrolled at Berkeley College.

According to U.S. Veterans Magazine, rankings are based on independent research, publicly available information, and materials submitted during the review period. Factors include recruitment and retention, education benefits, career development opportunities, support for military-connected communities, and other initiatives.

“When organizations recognize and invest in the military community, they strengthen not only individual lives, but also the future of their workplaces, campuses and communities,” said Mona Lisa Faris, President and Publisher, U.S. Veterans Magazine.

Berkeley College has four on-site Veterans Resource Centers – in Newark, Woodbridge, and Woodland Park, NJ, and New York City, NY. The College also has an Online Veterans Resource Center that serves online students, as well as those who are active service members stationed overseas.

Berkeley College supports the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, and provides Yellow Ribbon grants to all eligible recipients. The College has partnered with the Department of Defense for all Military Tuition Assistance (TA) programs. The Military TA rate is extended to Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, and their spouses for all degree programs, including the Master of Business Administration.

Each year military-aligned students, faculty, staff, and their families participate in community and volunteer efforts including marching in the New York City Veterans Day Parade, organizing candy and toy drives, placing flags at the graves of veterans on Memorial Day, and participating in National Wreaths Across America Day to honor those who served.

“Berkeley College is proud to welcome and support men and women who have served or are serving in every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, along with their spouses and children,” said Tami Pichardo, Senior Director, Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, Berkeley College. “Through our participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, accessible educational opportunities, and dedicated support services, we help military-aligned students pursue their academic and career goals. Their experiences, leadership, and perspectives strengthen our campus community, and we are honored to be part of their journey toward lifelong success.”

The College has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans for 13 consecutive years, as well as by publications including Military Times.
