Academic Advisement

Academic Advising is an important part of a Berkeley College education. Students work closely with Academic Advisors throughout their years at Berkeley to help align students’ educational plans with their academic, career, and personal goals.

Students are encouraged to meet with an Academic College Advisor regularly. Through regular interaction, the Academic Advisement Department can help students connect with student services and resources such as:

Credit for Prior Learning

An assessment of prior learning to enhance the student’s academic experience.

Need Help?

Students experiencing academic difficulties should contact the Academic Advisement Department as soon as possible to obtain appropriate assistance, which may include counseling, tutoring, and other referrals.

Transfer Advisement Planning

The Academic Advisement Department provides transfer students with academic counseling that includes a review of accepted courses, and remaining degree requirements, to help make the transfer experience smooth and seamless.
