Berkeley College joined iHeartMedia in elevating and celebrating the voices of women during iHeartMedia’s 2nd Annual International Women’s Day event on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The event featured panels and performances by media personalities including Jess Hilarious, Danielle Monaro, Angie Martinez, Crystal Rosas, Angela Yee, and the cast of the Broadway musical “WICKED.”
As the Lead Higher Education Partner for the event, Berkeley College presented the iHeartMedia Rising Star Award to Isabela Baganha, an Honors student from São Paulo, Brazil, who is pursuing a degree in Marketing Communications.

“International Women’s Day honors the achievements and contributions of women from around the world,” said Diane Recinos, President of Berkeley College. “Berkeley College is home to 3,500 students, including more than 290 international students, representing 57 countries. Our students, more than 74 percent of whom are women, graduate as leaders prepared to enter the global workforce.”
Panagiota Babadelis, Director, Marketing, Berkeley College, introduced Baganha before the award was presented.
“Professors describe Isabela as positive and professional, and recognize her strong drive to embrace lifelong learning,” Babadelis said. “Isabela, all of us at Berkeley College are proud of what you have accomplished, and we look forward to the positive impact you will continue to make on the world around you.”

The Berkeley College Marketing Communications degree program introduces students to all areas of marketing through a project-based curriculum developed from input from an advisory board of industry experts. The program emphasizes market and consumer research, strategic positioning, and media planning across traditional, digital, mobile, and social media.
