BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENT FROM FOLCROFT INDUCTED INTO
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETIES IN VIRTUAL CEREMONY

Tatiana Jones of Folcroft in Delaware County, PA, has been inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda and Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Societies at Berkeley College.

More than 150 Berkeley College students were inducted into six honor societies during a virtual ceremony this year, in keeping with adherence to the guidelines required for gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held on March 24, 2021.

“I am proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College. “They have exhibited patterns of excellence that will serve them extraordinarily well over the course of their lives.”

The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society was founded in 1945 to honor dedicated adult and non-traditional students who handle their life responsibilities while achieving and maintaining a high level of academic success. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and must rank in the top 20 percent of their class.

The Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society was established in 1995 to honor the academic achievements of students in legal studies. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher after completion of the fall semester and a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher in all LAW classes.
