The Berkeley College Master of Business Administration (MBA) program celebrated 10 years of business excellence during an MBA Reunion and Networking Event on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Berkeley College in Woodland Park, NJ. Since its inception, the Berkeley College MBA program has equipped nearly 700 aspiring business leaders with the knowledge and connections to navigate today’s complex business landscape.

“When I reflect on the establishment of the MBA program in 2015, what stands out is this program’s emphasis on remaining agile in an increasingly complex, technology-driven business environment,” said Diane Recinos, EdD, President of Berkeley College. “Today, more than ever, an MBA is not just a credential – it is a foundation for leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact.”

The program, established at Berkeley College in Woodland Park in 2015, later expanded to Berkeley College Online® and Berkeley College in New York City.

Founded on the core values of integrity, stewardship, sustainability, and inclusiveness, the Berkeley College MBA program offers concentrations in seven areas, including Healthcare Management, Human Resources Management, Law Enforcement Executive Management, and other disciplines. Courses are developed and taught by faculty who are industry experts with professional experience in their respective fields.

“The MBA program at the Berkeley College Larry L. Luing School of Business® is different from the typical university MBA in that our faculty are hired for their practical experience in industry,” said David Glazer, PhD, JD, Director, Berkeley College MBA program. “We are all about the educational experience for our students. We limit class sizes, and our students receive individualized attention and mentoring from the professors.”

Graduates of the MBA program include military veterans, 190 international students from 21 countries, aspiring entrepreneurs, as well as students who enrolled through the Berkeley College Corporate Learning Partnership program, an initiative that offers discounted tuition and customized training.

Alumni Success Stories

Several Berkeley College alumni shared how the MBA program has impacted their careers and elevated their earning potential.

Alumna Christine Peraino spoke at the Berkeley College MBA ribbon-cutting ceremony a decade ago. Since that time, the Vernon, NJ, resident has climbed the career ladder at Atlantic Health System and now serves as Senior Manager of Patient Access and Epic Security Team.

“I received so much support and guidance during my undergraduate degree. I knew the Berkeley College MBA program would be a great fit for me,” Peraino said. “I am learning so much about myself as a manager and look forward to my future growth and development.”

David Brown of West Haven, CT, an entrepreneur whose trucking company stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic, used the skills he learned in the MBA program to pivot to the nonprofit sector. Now the Director of Transportation for City Harvest, Brown manages a team of 24 trucks and 35 drivers who are on track to deliver 83 million pounds of essentials to food insecure families across the five boroughs of New York City.

“As alumni it’s our responsibility to try to pay it forward so we can not only bring value to the degree and all the hard work that we did, but also bring value to our communities,” Brown said.

Martha Outz, Executive Director, Arbor Terrace Roseland, spoke about the enduring relationships with her classmates and her alma mater.

“I’m grateful for a wonderful community here at Berkeley College,” said Outz, a resident of Stanhope, NJ. “It’s like a family. This is my home.”

“Berkeley College is proud to offer a lifelong network of support, inspiration, and opportunity for our alumni and students,” said Michael Iris, EdD, Associate Vice President, Alumni Relations and Career Services. “This 10-year MBA Reunion and Networking Event was a meaningful celebration of connection, bringing together alumni, current students, and both present and former faculty members. Events like this reflect the power of staying connected to your alma mater and the lasting impact of the Berkeley College experience.”
